* He stood up and reached his hand. I grabbed it and he pulled me up. A flock of seaguls swarmed around us. Nick was not about to let them stop us from going back to his house.* Nick: Back seaguls! Elizabeth: Oh, Nick, it's not a race if we both know I'm gonna kick your butt. Nick: (smiles and it fades into his game face) Wanna bet? * We started running. He was really fast. Maybe that week of no play built up his energy cause I haven't seen Nick go this fast! Ever! But as usual, I kicked his butt. Like, really, I was standing at his house for 3 minutes before he came huffing and puffing up the steps and hugged me. He was all sweaty and gross, but I didn't care.* Nick: (out of breath) Water.
