This is the MKII version of my camping/festival power system. This was created using parts from the old system and other bits and pieces I had lying around, the only new part is the lighter socket/USB adaptor. This setup cost a total of £3.00 based on recycling other parts I already had, it's been designed to be as small/compact/light as possible and still be capable of providing a decent amount of power for lighting and charging of phones. It's also capable of running low power 12v accessories, it could run a 12v fridge but due to capacity of the battery this would last at best one hour. The old system ran a 12v fridge for the length of a festival for a few hours each day, though was incredibly heavy and bulky to move around. If lithium ion batteries come down in price I may make a MKIII with high capacity but light weight.
