Also- adding water must be done gradually so you dampen all the sand but not overfill, it takes more water than you think but not too much. Put the water in until it seems well saturated, but not supersaturated.

Here is a little demo of my silenced Aldi Inverter Generator. It has a modified muffler design (reshaped internal chambers to 4 instead of three, and added steelwool before the spark arrester. cant be seen, its only inside) Soundproofing of the exterior enclosure with 10mm sound proofing foam. Air guide around the engine and generator coils were lined with aluminium tape to contain the radiated heat inside. The cylinder head heatsinks has been reblocked to stop audible vibrations, and the air path through the machine has been altered with added labyrinths to stop sounds from escaping. It also has 20 AA NiMH batteries installed on the 12V rail, so a constant 12V is available for low current drain applications such as phone chargers, LED lights, camping fridge etc. It will run an Evacool Fridgemate on either 12V or 240V Noise before was measured to 94dbA at 1meter, and around 70dbA at 7 metres.
