Homemade Granola Bars - Great for Snacks and Backpacking






Here is an easy to do, healthy granola snackfood. We find these bars to be great for a daily snack at home school or office. Even better, take some granola bars hiking, camping or backpacking. Make some for trail and get out there! Best of all, the ingredients list is under the control of the maker. Nothing in here that can't be pronounced. Most of the ingredients such as the nuts can be swapped in part or whole with other varieties of nuts. Want more fiber? add more wheat germ. Try different mixtures of dried berries, no reason for this snack to ever get boring. And of course, if more sweetness is desired, bump up the amount of brown sugar or add a little more honey :) These stay fresh about a week in a sealed container. Fridge keeps them well.
