The ?coolest? fridges available

The major appliances, otherwise known as ‘white goods’ are usually the things we can’t do without in a home, and the fridge has got to be the front-runner for the most useful. Everyone’s spent a few collective hours of their life standing in front of one, whether it’s full or not.

Proving to be better than ‘useful’, a survey recently proved that 83 percent of Canadian women would be more impressed by good kitchen appliances than by a good car. It seems a sleek fridge could be a valuable asset for someone out to impress.

They come in all shapes and sizes too. Whether it’s a Westinghouse, Fisher & Paykel, Samsung, Electrolux, Kelvinator, Haier, LG, Whirlpool, Bosch or Lemair – the choices are wide-ranging:

• The Top Freezer: The classic fridge composition; the top third is ready to be swung open in anticipation of ice cream and frozen meals at any time.

• The Bottom Freezer: A twist on the classic fridge/freezer combo turning the rule of thirds on its head.

• Side by Side Fridges: This is when it starts getting fancy.

With two doors it becomes the fridge version of the walk in wardrobe.

• 3 & 4 Door Fridges: A step up from the side by side, the extra one or two compartments mean a freezer can be included too.

• Bar Fridge: Everyone needs a bar fridge – whether they like to admit it or not. Sometimes those beers that need chilling require a space of their own.

• Pigeon Pair & Upright: Whether it’s a whole fridge or whole freezer, this streamline look is timeless. One face, uninterrupted.

• Chest Freezer: For all your excess (in the corner of the garage) storage needs. The chest freezer could be the most useful receptacle of them all, cradling anything that doesn’t fit in the fridge/freezer from bait to frozen soup.

If it’s the side by side fridge you have your eye on by the price tag seems out of reach, the option to rent white goods is always there. Apart from avoiding the initial outlay of cash, rental finance allows you to manage your budget, get access to unique replacement and maintenance services, potentially gain tax benefits and enjoy flexible end of term options.
